This apple was a free apple from Souper Salad. It was okay but it was not labeled so I am not sure what kind of apple it was. I think it may have been a Red Delicious but again I am not sure. I ate it on the drive home from Souper Salad, as usual I was not sure what to do with the apple core. I ended up holding on to it for the remainder of the drive and throwing it away when I got home. I was told the other day by an unnamed source it was acceptable to throw the core out the window with two stipulations. First you MUST throw it out of the roadway and into a grassy area so an animal can eat it. Second as you throw the apple you MUST say the phrase, "Apple core Baltimore." The first stipulation makes sense and is probably true, an animal will eat the core. On the other hand the second rule makes no sense and I am not sure where it came from. I was just told it must be said when throwing a core out of a car window. While this might be acceptable to most people I have not tried it and was told Police Officers may not agree with it either. I was told Police Officers would probably still consider it littering, especially in Texas. "Don't Mess With Texas," is their slogan after all.
